WELCOME LETTER

As you know, Aveson Global Leadership Academy is committed to global learning, exploration and collaboration.  There is no better way to learn about something than to experience it first hand.  We have a strong belief that every student at our school should have the opportunity to travel, explore different cultures and perspectives and take action on a local and global scale.

Introducing AVESON GLOBAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY  11th and 12th grade - RITE of PASSAGE CHINA TRIP - 2013-2014

A service oriented two week trip to China is being planned for May, 2014!  We are working with L&Z International Travel to ensure the most hand's on, service oriented and professionally delivered experience possible.

The total expense of the trip to China will be $2,800. for two full weeks in Beijing, and includes every aspect of the trip.

Starting in October the cost would average $400 a month. The deadline to sign up is the end of October.

With the support of their advisors and families, Aveson Juniors and Seniors would create a financial plan to reach their personal fundraising goals.

It is our mission to include EVERY STUDENT in the 11th and 12th grade who is committed to this exploration.

I believe that if there is a group of students and parents who are up for the challenge it is this group of students.  Many of you have been with us for most or all of the years we have been a school and you deserve an experience such as this!

We cannot do this project without the full support of each family of an Aveson Junior or Senior. This process will be extremely challenging, time consuming, and expensive.  It will require evenings, weekends, and further contributions of time and resources.

Of course you may have dozens of questions before you decide and I am here to answer them as best I can.

Please also feel free to email me at tomhyatt@aveson.org or call me at 626-848-7891 to ask any pertinent questions, and please come to Back to School Night this next Thursday, September 12th at 7pm.
